WHEN AND WHERE

DATE: Wednesday, February 28
TIME: 8:30 – 9:30 AM EST
LOCATION: Virtual

The guest will be Paula DiPerna, Special Advisor to CDP North America. CDP was established as the Carbon Disclosure Project in 2000, asking companies to disclose their climate impact. Since then, CDP has broadened the scope of environmental disclosure, to incorporate deforestation and water security. Diperna is a pioneer of strategic global environmental and philanthropic policy, and a widely published author and commentator on contemporary issues. In her recently published book, “Pricing the Priceless,” she asks, “Why do we value the indispensable atmosphere at zero, but dispensable production in the trillions?” It’s a provocative read. DiPerna is a former president of the Joyce Foundation. Today, in addition to her work for CDP, she serves on the Board of Advisors of Global Kids, whose mission is to develop global citizenship; the Circle of Advisors of Rachel’s Network, which links women philanthropists who have environmental interests; and the Board of Directors of The History Makers, a unique oral and video archive of profiles of African-American leaders in all sectors.
